The initiative seeks new perspectives on the region \u2014 beyond established imagery and tourist narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, the Danube is understood not only as landscape, but also as a space of movement and resonance for broader social questions. The everyday ferry crossing becomes a moment of transition: a brief condition between arrival and departure in which perspectives shift and new questions emerge. For Claudio Magris, the Danube represents the memory of Europe \u2014 shaped by layers of history, ruptures, and shared narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Danube Safari explores the Wachau beyond its familiar images. Traditional wooden boats (Zillen) become mobile spaces of observation where local stakeholders meet architects, urban planners, and sociologists.
